Autism West Midlands 

Sarah Winch is a family outreach worker for Autism West Midlands covering the Staffordshire area. As a family outreach worker she provides support groups, autism awareness sessions and 1:1 family support.  Sarah can be contacted at the following address:

SPAN - Parents and carers of disabled children and young people in Staffordshire can make a difference to the services they receive by getting involved with the Staffordshire Parent Action Network (SPAN).  

SPAN is holding a series of coffee mornings where parents and carers can find out more about the work of SPAN and how to get involved.

Sibling Support Service

Cannock Resource Centre are offering a sibling support service providing advice, fun and information to the sisters and brothers of siblings of disabled children aged between 6 and 18.   Referrals to the service can be made by a social worker or by the parents.  The group is held on a Monday 6.30pm to 8.30pm on a monthly basis.  Each group will consist of ten sessions.  The group will offer advice, information, time to talk, meet others in similar situations, have fun, make new friends, learn ways to cope with the difficult bits, share and manage feelings and time out.
